Accepted Art Formats

HOW TO SEND US YOUR ART
You can send us your artwork via email, or you can send it to us in the mail, UPS or FedEx. Emailing art is quick, painless and enables us to get moving on your order quickly. If you want to e-mail artwork please send go HERE. Please take the time to read our art requirements below. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

ACCEPTED ART
We accept hard copy (for us to scan), digital art files (program files) or film. If you choose to mail in hard copy art or film, please email an example of the design before hand.

Digital / Program Files
Program file requirements are as follows:

Resolution:
Please create graphics files at 300 dpi or higher in RGB mode. Please send all art files at the actual print size desired. Art fees may be applied to job if art files have to be completely reconstructed.

Fonts:
Please remember to send any fonts that are needed for output. Some formats will allow you to embed the font in the file. If you send Illustrator files, please convert the type to outlines before sending.

Preferred formats:

Freehand
Illustrator CS (11) and earlier(.ai )
Generic EPS file (.eps)
Photoshop 7.0 and earlier(.psd, .tif )
Adobe Portable Document Format (.pdf)
Quark XPress (We are able to convert most Quark files)
ONE COLOR FILES can be sent in JPEG for at 300 DPI and must be sized to print.

Sometimes acceptable but not preferred:

JPG, BMP, TIFF

Please only send files that are 300dpi and sized correctly for print.

HARD COPY
Hard copy needs to be clean enough to require very little touch up before printing. It should be line art and not contain halftones. If you have any questions regarding details of your design, please contact us via email.

FILM
We require Emulsion Up, Right Reading, Positive. Film must be image positive with the emulsion on the correct reading side of the film. Please contact us for exact details before supplying film. Thanks.

Fine Ink employees cannot be held liable for damages or income loss due to damages to any artwork sent to us. Please make that the art you are sending is set up exactly how you want it. Please take the time to check spelling, output size of art, correct color separations, etc.
